Welcome to the official website of NMDA’s Agricultural Workforce Development Program
NMDA’s Agricultural Workforce Development Program (AWD) offers incentives to the state’s agricultural businesses to hire interns. The AWD Program is intended to provide hands-on educational opportunities for students aspiring to careers in agriculture, as well as young or beginning farmers and ranchers.
The AWD Program is the result of the Agricultural Workforce Development Program Act, which was signed into law in 2019.
The deadline for the FY22 AWD program applications was April 1, 2022, at 5:00 pm. Late applications are not being accepted.
Stay tuned to this website and NMDA’s social media channels to learn of future funding opportunities.
