“Watershed Health in New Mexico” newspaper insert

Beginning Sunday, June 5, 2016, and continuing in the weekdays thereafter, newspaper subscribers across New Mexico will open up the paper to find a handy resource inside: a newspaper insert all about watershed health.  NMDA created the newspaper insert utilizing its own original content, as well as content from several contributing agencies and organizations whose common interest is water, in terms of both quantity and quality.

Thanks to the Albuquerque Journal for its excellent graphic work.  Most importantly, thanks to our content-contributing partners for providing sound information:

New Mexico State University’s Extension Fire Specialist Dr. Doug Cram
New Mexico State Forestry Division
The Nature Conservancy
All About Watersheds: Forest and Watershed Health Information Clearinghouse
Bureau of Land Management (BLM) New Mexico
New Mexico Forest and Watershed Restoration Institute
Southwest Border Food Protection and Emergency Preparedness Center

The newsletter is a cooperative effort between the New Mexico Department of Agriculture and the New Mexico Department of Homeland Security & Emergency Management.  Funds used to produce this newsletter were made available through FEMA’s Hazard Mitigation Grant Program.
