NMDA International Marketing Resources

NMDA helps individual companies find qualified buyers and promote their products in the international marketplace. This includes promotional support, introductions to promotional organizations, and introductions within companies through the USDA Agricultural Trade Offices.

USDA Export Promotion Programs

The US Department of Agriculture’s Foreign Agricultural Service has multiple programs, services, and information available. These services help exporters of food and agricultural products. For more information contact our office or FAS’s website. The most utilized program is:

Market Access Program (MAP)

Under the MAP FundMatch Program, companies can receive matching funds for new promotional activities in international markets. Activities may involve:

  • Trade Shows
  • Marketing Materials
  • Label Changes
  • Research and More

Approved marketing expenses are available for a 50% cost match. The Global Connect Program under MAP provides NMDA and other industry organizations funding for generic promotions of various agricultural products. (i.e. pecans, bakery ingredients, produce, livestock genetics, etc.).
