Connecting New Mexico Agricultural Supplies with International Consumers

NMDA connects New Mexico agricultural producers and processors with qualified foreign buyers, importers and distributors. We encourage New Mexico agribusiness to enter into global markets and find prospective buyers. It also helps international buyers and New Mexico agribusiness connect.

Supporting New Mexico Agribusiness

Agricultural Marketing Specialists are available to assist New Mexico agribusinesses develop export plans. They may also identify and provide contacts with international buyers, importers, and distributors.

Connecting with Foreign Buyers

NMDA maintains an extensive database of New Mexico companies who produce and process New Mexico agricultural products. Marketing Specialists can find New Mexico supplies quickly and efficiently.

Trade Shows

Participating companies can market their product to a large number of potential buyers. NMDA Marketing Specialists work through the Western US Agricultural Trade Association (WUSATA) and others to organize participation in shows globally. Many of these trade shows contain a “USA Pavilion” and are endorsed by the USDA.

Trade Missions

NMDA recruits qualified foreign buyers, importers, and distributors to implement trade missions to and from New Mexico. We work with the USDA Foreign Agricultural Service to implement Outbound Trade Missions. New Mexico companies travel to foreign destinations to connect with foreign buyers. There are also Inbound Trade Missions, where foreign buyers travel to New Mexico. The intent of these trade missions is to connect serious buyers with new Mexico suppliers. It is also for foreign buyers to gain a clear understanding of the quantity/quality of New Mexico agricultural products.
