Wildlife Species Management
Wildlife Species Management Description
The Federal Endangered Species Act has the potential for widespread impact on agricultural land uses. NMDA works to avoid negative impacts on agriculture and to identify ways to make species protection/recovery activities compatible with agricultural production.
Cooperative Wildlife Services Program
State law authorizes NMDA to establish predator and rodent pest control programs for the state. Implemented as a cooperative program under an agreement with USDA, these programs protect property and public health in rural and urban settings.
