The 2014 Farm Bill funded Cost-Share Reimbursement for organic certification costs for five years beginning in 2014. The cost-share program reimburses 75% of annual certification expenses (application fees, assessments) for each organic certificate, to a maximum of $750/certificate/year. Depending on the funding received from the USDA, there may not be sufficient funds to reimburse every organic operation; reimbursements will be issued in the order applications are received until the funds are exhausted. You must have a current organic certificate to be eligible. You must apply to be reimbursed.
The 2015 applications for reimbursement are now available. Please complete both forms below and mail them to: Organic Cost Share Program, 2604 Aztec NE, Albuquerque, NM 87107. The second page of the application has instructions for completing the forms.
