2,4-D Permits
Required to apply 2,4-D in Curry or Roosevelt County
Applicators in Curry and Roosevelt County must have a permit to apply restricted 2,4-D herbicides between April 1 and October 30. Call NMDA Inspector Traci Franklin at 575-760-1815. You can also call the main office at 575-646-2134 or email 24dpermit@nmda.nmsu.edu. Be ready to provide:
- Name, license number and phone number of the certified applicator
- Legal description of field to be sprayed (Township, Range & Section, GPS coordinates, street address, or other legal description)
- Brand name of 2,4-D to be sprayed
- Name of farmer or landowner (if other than applicator)
