New Mexico – Taste the Tradition Country Store at New Mexico State Fair offers local products
(Albuquerque, New Mexico) – New Mexico State Fairgoers may purchase a variety of tasty items at the New Mexico – Taste the Tradition Country Store.
Open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. during the state fair Sept. 5 to Sept. 15 in Albuquerque, the store features products such as chips, chile products, spice mixes, baked goods, jams, jellies, candies, coffee and nuts.
As a country store customer, you’ll be part of the first-ever Elevate New Mexico Agriculture $5 at a Time campaign. The New Mexico Department of Agriculture challenges New Mexico households to spend $5, or increase their spending by at least $5, on New Mexico agriculture products year-round.
New Mexico Secretary of Agriculture Jeff Witte said NMDA is proud to partner with the Rio Rancho Rotary Club to present the Country Store.
“I invite all fairgoers to stop by and sample the many different New Mexico grown and made products available for purchase in our Country Store, where there is something for everyone,” said Witte. “By spending $5 on locally-produced products from our Country Store, you will also be supporting the state’s agriculture industry and economy!”
The store has become a staple of tradition for fairgoers since it first opened in 1991, offering a variety of New Mexico grown and made agricultural products. The store is in the Agriculture Building west of the Manuel Lujan building and south of the animal barns.
